The Story so far

In 1990 Dave & John formed "Snake Spear" their first band playing mostly original material, quite heavy and slightly progressive with drummer Rob Arney, this lasted approximately a year. At around this time Arch started playing gigs with "The Morrigan". Previous to this Arch has played with "Marauder" formed with school friends, vulture spuadron with his brother Pete on bass, George Lennon on guitar and Kev Whale on vocals.

In 1992 Dave & John formed "Junk Shop", a rock covers band with Pete Stone, Merv B and drummer Pip. In the mid 90's "Bolton Parsnips" a fun covers band was formed with Dave, John, Kev Noble on vocals, Arch and Merv B also sang occasionally. Around this time Merv B and Dave became part of a new "Morrigan" line up. In time the "Parsnips" turned into "Bombay Trout" which led to John, Dave and Arch writing original material. This being the blueprint for "Blue Drift's" first debut album. Arch still plays with "The Morrigan" to this day, more info can be found on the Links page.

The "Blue Drift" CD "Cobalt Coast" was released under their own label "Buglefish Records" in July 2003.
They played the House of Joff again, and 2 weeks later on the 19th July at the Exotic Rock Undergrounds Cornish festival at Tintagel. A short set at Tim's party too.
New material is being written to complete a live set and a follow-up CD.
